Job Title:  Marketing And Business Development Manager

Reports:  Chief Executive Officer

A. JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the candidate will lead the development and execution of the hospital’s business development strategy with an aim of growing and sustaining the business to help the hospital meet its budgetary obligations. .

B. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Development and execution of hospital Business Development strategy.
  • Develop a growth strategy that is aligned to the organization’s values.
  • Tracking and analyzing market trends, monitoring the competition, and developing strategies for growing the business.
  • Conduct research to identify new business opportunities/ markets, and current customer needs that will inform the development of new products and review existing products to ensure that they are aligned to customer needs and market realities.
  • Lead in the development of new products and packages and review of existing ones.
  • Lead business engagement with corporate and various target market to identify growth opportunities. 

Growth of Outreach activities to the hospital.

  • Develop and execute an effective strategy that will increase the conversion of outreach referral bookings to actual consultations.
  • Timely reporting of Monthly and YTD referrals from the outreach activities.

Corporate Relationship Management.

  • Develop a business strategy for engagement with industry stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within the corporate partners to grow and maintain the business portfolio.
  • New account opening and management and renewing the expired ones.
  • Gathering intelligence on the sectoral trends.
  • Hospital Services and Facilities Marketing.
  • Developing key relationships with private doctors, other referring hospitals, evacuation companies and medical tourism agents to position the hospital as the facility of choice.
  • Work with the Communications team to develop relevant collateral and public information.

Doctors’ Relations

  • Building relationships with referring doctors to understand and meet their needs.
  • Identifying the relevant Continuous Medical Education (CME) needs and working with the team to deliver them to build relationships.
  • Bridging the relationship between doctors and corporate partners.
  • Teamwork and Cohesion.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with various internal and external stakeholders. 

C. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/ marketing or a related field from a recognized university.
  • Relevant professional qualifications with active membership in a professional body.
  • Have at least 5 years’ experience in a business relationship/business development or marketing role gained in a customer-focused environment and possess proven and effective long-term relationships skills with a wide range.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience as Head of Department.
  • Health sector knowledge with good understanding of business dynamics of the industry will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing initiatives and/or business plans within a defined budget and resources.

Job Title:  Kitchen Steward

Reports:  Executive Chef

A. JOB PURPOSE

To ensure cleanliness, hygiene for all equipment and environment in all food preparation, service, and storage areas.

B. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Ensure all preparation/cooking/service area and equipment are well cleaned and sanitized before use.
  • Ensure proper food storage and cleanliness in all the food stores and fridges.
  • Prepare monthly breakages and damages report and submit to the supervisor/chef.
  • Informing the supervisor/ chef of any items/detergents used in your section that are running out of stock to be re-ordered.
  • Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal.
  • Draft monthly duty Rota with colleagues and present it the Chef.

C. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least Certificate in hospitality.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a busy hospitality organization.

Job Title:  Theatre In-charge 

Reports:  Chief Nursing Officer

A. JOB PURPOSE

Planning, organizing, and coordinating all activities and services in theatre to ensure standard of nursing care in line with the hospital’s policies and procedures.

B. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Supervising and ensuring delivery of a professional and high standard of nursing care within the theatre while leading a team of nurses and theatre technicians in delivering individual and team targets.
  • Ensuring all planned departmental activities is geared towards meeting growth and quality objectives in theatre department.
  • Monitor and ensure client satisfaction and proactively manage their complaints as they arise.
  • Evaluate and ensure that nursing care plans are scientific; evidence based and address the priority needs of the patients.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the inventory of all assets in theatre.
  • Review and approve monthly work schedule (ROTA) to ensure compliance with policy and adequate shift planning and Rota management for nursing and nursing support staff in the department has adequate cover at all times.
  • Actively engage with doctors and other care providers to get feedback on the quality of nursing care in the unit.
  • Monitor and ensure that documentation within the units meets the required quality standards.
  • Participate in formulation and ensure implementation of organizational and departmental policies and procedures (SOPs) and quality Improvement Plans in the section including infection prevention.
  • Identify systems and operational problems and trends for improvement and prepare statistical indicators, reports, findings, propose and implement solutions.
  • Providing leadership, ensuring employee development (including coaching and mentorship), employee engagement and performance management to deliver departmental objectives and goals.
  • Ensure effective communication between staff, patients and members of their families regarding plan of care of their patients.
  • Managing the Nursing budget within the agreed parameters by ensuring efficient resources utilization and taking charge of cost control.

Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Reports:  Financial Accountant

A. JOB PURPOSE

The Accounts Assistant is responsible for managing the doctor’s accounts payable process specifically related to doctors procedure and consultation fees. This includes accurately processing invoices, reconciling accounts and ensuring timely payments to the consultant doctors.

B. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctors’ accounts management - Manage all payments and reconciliation queries related to doctors payments.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders to facilitate smooth payment process.
  • Payment processing- Prepare and process payments for approved doctor’s fees in timely manner.
  • Reconciliation - Reconcile all doctors’ transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies as needed, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Reporting - Generate regular reports on accounts payable activities, including aging reports, cash flow projections and analysis of business trends.
  • Process improvements – Identify opportunities to streamline doctors’ accounts payable processes, enhance efficiency.
  • Compliance - Adhere to relevant government regulations with regards to withholding tax etc.

Job Title: Medical/Surgical Nurse

Reports: Nurse In-charge

A. JOB PURPOSE

Providing high standard of nursing care to all patients in line with the Hospital’s policies and procedures and achieving patient safety goals.

B. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Deliver direct patient care including but not limited to assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions through professionalism and high standard of nursing care within the department.
  • Advocate for patient needs, rights and preferences ensuring a patient centered approach to care.
  • Serve as an expert resource person providing expert nursing care and demonstrate advanced clinical skills and knowledge in nursing practice.
  • Engage on a daily basis with doctors and other care providers regarding patients’ plan of care and care solutions with emphasis on a Team-based problem-solving approach to unified approach to patient care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care teams to coordinate the delivery of comprehensive care.
  • Facilitate effective communication between healthcare professionals, patients, and their families to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to established standards, policies and procedures. Monitor and evaluate quality of care provided, identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.

A. JOB PURPOSE

B. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Deliver direct patient care including but not limited to assessment, planning, implementation.
  • Carry out specific tests, analyze, interpret, troubleshoot, and initiate immediate intervention.
  • Engage with doctors and other care providers on daily basis regarding patients’ Plan of Care and Care solutions with emphasis on a team- based problem-solving approach to provide unified approach to patient care.
  • Administering treatment plans to patients as prescribed.
  • Relay accurate information to clinical staff on a patient’s condition.
  • Responding to and reporting any abnormal recordings to the person in charge.
  • Labeling and dispatching specimens to laboratory promptly and safely.

  • Valid BLS/ACLS certification.
